29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 29 THE BIG DAY!

Day 29 THE BIG DAY!

Alexander McQueen designed this BEAUTIFUL dress, very reminiscent of Grace Kelly's dress which was shown earlier on Day 2. She looked amazing, Prince Harry was even amazed by her beauty, which is why he whispered to his brother  to get ready for the vision that she is (although not in those exact words, lol). It's very Renaissance, and very Victorian, very romantic. It was just long enough, just big enough, everything was just perfect. Prince Harry and sister, Phillippa (Pippa for short) did a good job of being best man and maid of honor. The kids were adorable, the HATS were beautiful. The wedding was very fairytale, but simple, much like Kate and William are. Of course I can't stop smiling I'm so over the moon for them! Here's to the best!

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 28

Day 29
The second to last day! The Royal wedding is tomorrow and the fabulous Kate Middleton was seen leaving Clarence House where she's been residing until she weds yesterday! Ever so polished looking she looks relaxed in skinny jeans, light min green blazer and a light colored v-neck collar shirt, complete with a brown handbag. Style comes so naturally to her. :-)

*Day 29 Royal Wedding Queen Emma Kaleleonalani June 19, 1856
Yes even Hawaii has a royal wedding, well they did back in 1856. Queen Emma's wedding day wasn't flawless because the groom forgot the wedding ring! OMG! But not to fear a lawyer offered his wedding ring for until the real one was placed on her finger. We know Prince William won't forget, because Prince Harry is the best man! :-)

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 27

Day 27
2 more days! Eek! Kate looks as usual fabulous in this fur hat, faux fur or the real thing it doesn't matter, her head is warm! lol. I'm so inspired by this girl, I don't wear hats but I totally want to wear this. The coat goes well with the color and the black turtleneck and scarf go well too. Kate gets another thumbs up, she has the best hat collection since...Princess Diana! :-)

*Day 27 Royal Wedding Queen Farida of Egypt January 20, 1938
Queen Farida of Egypt who married at 16, is pictured here in her wedding gown, very old fashion, very royal, it doesn't do anything for me, but I do like the silhouette of the dress.

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 26

Day 26
3 moer days! And look at this outfit girlfriend is wearing! HOT! Of course her favorite style of boots, knee-high. The hat, is hot, the color of the jacket is hot, the scarf and bag, everything is working on this girl. A+!

*Day 26 Royal Wedding Chelsea Clinton July 31, 2010

Like I said before, it's my blog and I'll do what I want. :-) I know she's not royalty, but she looks like one, and we saw her grow up in front of our eyes. All I can say is this is beautiful, classic, timeless, very fairy tale, and I absolutely love it.

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 25

Day 25
Classic! Perfect! Beautiful! That is all.

*Day 25 Royal Wedding Queen Marie Antoinette May 16, 1770
So the panier (it's what's making the dress so big on the sides) might be a bit wide, okay so it's VERY wide, but look at the colors! There is such beautiful femininity and softness to it. I think it's very beautiful and like I said in the previous post (Day 24) it's something similar to what I want for my wedding day. :-)

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 24

Day 24
I am SO loving all this Royal love! Although so many specials at one time can be so mind boggling at time. lol. Although I'm not a fan of the skirt, from the waist up everything works! Of course the hat, is so adorable, the blazer is tailored and works well on her. Although I am surprised her hair isn't in the most beautiful curls that it's normally in, but I'll let it slide. I'd give it a B+ almost there but not quite.

*Day 24 Royal Wedding Marie-Louise de Parma 1765
So this is the wedding dress of my dreams! It's so beautiful! Can you believe she's only 13! She married her cousin Charles IV of Spain ng gown, at age 13!  Granddaughter of Louis XV, she married her cousin,  Charles IV of Spain in 1765.  Her gown is lightly colored and layered, with soft pinks, floral greens and ivory. Like Prince's song, "Diamonds and Pearls" she had a combination of both to showcase her status. Not only that but she wears a bracelet with a miniature portrait of her betrothed on it, aww how sweet!

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 23

Day 23
Now people may call this country, but I think it's very down under, I mean the hat is so Aussie! The whole look is very Aussie in my opinion. But she's rockin it as usual, no big deal there. She knows what works, and she does it well. But seriously can you believe it? 6 more days until the BIG DAY! I know she's nervous, THE WORLD is on pins and needles! I can't wait to see that dress!

*Day 23 Royal Wedding Caroline Kennedy July 19, 1986
I know I know, she's not an official royal because in America we don't have that, BUT she was the daughter of a great American President and her mother was like our American Princess. The world saw the First Lady and President Kennedy as the American Royals, so I figured since she's the first and only daughter of the two, she's the "royal" daughter besides it's my blog and I can do what I want! lol.. I'm not a fan of this particular style but the dress is so cute! It has shamrocks on the bodice and veil which is homage to her Irish roots, which I'm sure her dad and granddad would've been proud of. Her hair and makeup is done simple, letting the shamrocks speak for itself. lol. She did it her own way, just like her parents. And they're still happily married, which will be Kate and William :-)

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 22

The Kasual Kate has shown up again, loose fitting shirt, skinny jeans, and of course her favorite bag and knee high boots. I like this look, it's just Kate being comfortable. Cool sunglasses btw. This shows how she can still look stylish without trying, even when she's on her casual off days she still looks cool.

*Day 22 Royal Wedding Princess Lucy Cuthbert March 28, 2011
This is a cute modern, very sweet, spring wedding dress. Lucy wore a knee length white dress and a cream colored jacket, while her husband wore a classic 3 piece suit. Her husband,  Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan al-Saud, who is a member of a very wealthy Saudi royal family they're glowing with happiness. and it's very quaint and simple.

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 21

Day 21

The return of the power red returns and her favorite knee-boots of course. Red and black at it's best. No mention sexy cut out leather gloves going so lovely with the beautiful black hat and clutch. She wore this ensemble to the Sovereign's Parade at Sandhurst Military Academy in December 2006, of course drawing similiarties to her future late mother-in-law, Princess Diana who wore a red and black ensemble on Christmas day in 1993. It doesn't matter if she's taking style and inspiration from her her mother-in-law, what woman wouldn't? Have you seen Diana's fashion? Even I take from her, it's okay Kate, it's all in the family :-) A+ for both!

*Day 21 Royal Wedding Princess Victoria June 19, 2010

Princess Victoria wore this beautiful gown on her wedding day, looking ever so regal, the satin off the shoulder with a band at the waist is just elegant. Not to mention she's another fabulous dresser. :-)

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 20

Day 20
This is a scandal! She's wearing a see-through blouse stop the presses! I mean really people, she's young, and this is such a cute look on her! I love it! Very French! This was a big deal because she had a see-through blouse on, but you didn't see anything, and she's wearing a jacket over it. All I can say is if you're going to do see-through do it the right way, which she did, what's the problem? A+

*Day 20 Royal Wedding Princess Noor May 27, 2004

This wedding dress is so beautiful and romantic, and very Spanish inspired. The lace veil and lace wedding dress make for a very Spanish, romance feel. And the two are just glowing. I don't know if I would want lace from head to toe, but this is done right if you ask me, not to mention she's a fabulous dresser! :-)

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 19

Day 19
Electric blue knee length dress+black blazer+black clutch+FABULOUS black hat=A+++!!! That is all.

*Day 19 Royal Wedding Princess Tatinia August 25, 2010
If you look at closely at the bodice, it is wrapped with beautiful detailing. The gown is of lace with a touch of a Grecian style bodice reminiscent of Grace Kelly in "To Catch a Thief". Very sweet, very pretty.

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 18

Day 18
So I know it must be a bit chilly considering how she's dressed, but this is a bit stuffy and librarian. I'm just not feeling it. The hat is cute, the scarf is nice, but the jacket is too stiff, and the light blue scarf just doesn't go and it's not wrapped properly. I could do without the light blue scarf and the jacket, sorry Kate, but this is a C-

*Day 18 Royal Wedding Queen Beatrix May 10, 1966
It's a nice matronly queen like wedding dress. Nothing special really. It's VERY conservative and SO stuffy. I need fresh air from just looking at it! Goodness!

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 17

Day 17
Casual Kate does it again. A oversize camel bag, beige cardigan, and a flowy, sleeveless, scoop neck light blue green dress with wedges. Great for spring and summer, especially when  away on vacation. She does this casual style so effortlessly. And if I could have this dress, that'd be even better! :-)

*Day 17 Royal Wedding Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson Mach 17, 1986

Firey red-head, Sarah Ferguson wed on the 17th of March, where a young Prince William borderlined, stole the show. He's so cute in his little outfit and hat! I mean how could he not be a showstopper? Oh yeah back to Sarah, this is a nice demure wedding dress seeing how her personality and life is. Maybe she was trying to impress the royals?

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 16

Day 16
So I'm in love with Kate's sense of fashion, she does well 98% of the time, but this dress falls into that 2% where she didnt' get it right. The lace dress has no shape, the lace is too long, while the dress is short. It's hard to pull off lace I will admit that. Some do it very well while majority of people get it wrong. Sorry Kate I still heart you though. If there were darts in the dress, and if the lace  wasn't long it wouldn't have been that bad. And the black bag with that dress? No no no. Her sister on the other hand got it right, interesting. From the looks of it, it looks like it was an opening or an event party of a new store. If that was the case, the matronly look has to go, Kate, if you need help your sister will be there, you look about the same size steal something of hers.

*Day 16 Royal Wedding Princess Louise March 21, 1871
This is so romantic and so beautiful. Unlike the previous post (Day 15) where I just couldn't comment on anything. So This is from the Victorian era. Now this is wear you can wear lace, and it look good, sorry Kate, I'm still going to grill you on that lace, it just wasn't happening. But at least Princess Louise got it right. :-)

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 15

Day 15
This look from Kate, I like. And of course she's wearing her a favorite of hers, knee high boots. The brown color with the all black ensemble she's wearing makes her look even more like the country girl that she is. So of course if it were me, I would be wearing high heels, very HIGH heels, lol. The blazer works for this look, because it's a tailored blazer and gives her an hour glass figure despite the loose fitting top. The bag, I'm not too much a fan of because it's matching the top, but it's not. You know what I mean? The pants work well with the blazer too. The shoe color I'm not a fan of because I feel like it throws off the outfit, but, it's Kate being herself, so if I had to give her a grade it would be a B.

*Day 15 Royal Wedding-Princess Martha Louise May 24, 2002
I won't comment. That is all.

Kate's Boot Trend

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 14

Day 14
There's red, and then there's bright red, and then there's power red making a bold statement, and Kate did just that. The BEAUTIFUL and in your face bright power red skirt suit she wore when she and her Prince went to St. Andrews where they first met. This skirt suit is slammin'! And she wears her favorite knee high boots (Day 7 and Day 6), black leather gloves and black turtleneck with a black clutch. The cute black bow belt with the black buttons going down the middle make for a great contrast. Obviously both are glowing because of the signifance of the school. Yet again, another A+!

*Day 14 Royal Wedding-Princess Sophie Rhys Jones June 19, 1999
Looking like she could be Princess Diana's sister, Princess Sophie Rhys Jones has often been compared to the wonderful Princes Diana, so Kate isn't the only one, getting comparisons. This wedding dress is nice, if you ask me though I think it's very matronly on her, she looks young and should dress the part, not that of a 25 year old but in the 30s age group. It would benefit her greatly.

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 13

Day 13
Like I said earlier and I think a lot of people know this, is that Kate is a country girl, much like Wills, and keeps her style of dressing simple and casual. Here is another example. A printed sleevless v-neckline flowy dress shows her simplicity of style. Her favorite white bag, and her white drop earrings go wel with this look along with the flat low heels. Kate isn't much of a risk taker, but I have feeling if she starts to wear Victoria Beckham her style might change somewhat. Victoria Beckham's beautiful clothing line is classic, and hip, but also a little on the daring side, if you're country girl from Buckleberry. Aside from her hats, the design, detail, and architectural like work that is in some of Victoria's clothing line, this will be a good step for her.

*Day 13 Royal Wedding-Queen Mary 1893

When Queen Mary married in 1893, she had the look that was common of the Victoria Era. The bustle and corset underneath the dress was VERY popular for that time. I have seen pictures of her, and she could dress, and it also helps that I am very much into any retro or vintage, and my I love fashion dating all the way back to the 1700s lol. This is a beautiful dress, and my future wedding dress will have the similar shiloutte from that time, but don't tell my future my husband. :-)

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 12

Day 12
So Kate's latest and last appearance (April11, 2011) before her big day is an Amanda Wakeley silk skirt suit. Completed with a cute navy and gold clutch and pointed heels. Her hair was pulled back for a change, and what a nice change it was. It's conservative definitely but when she wears anything she makes it look SO beautiful, even in the rain, Kate just looked amazing. It's just so easy for Kate.

*Day 12 Royal Wedding-Queen Elizabeth 2 November 20, 1947
The grandmother of Prince William, Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip were married 63 years ago. This wedding gown is beautiful, especially the train. It fits with the time, and her taste in fashion. She was never one to set any kind of fashion trend by any means, but she wore what felt comfortable for her which is all any girl could want (besides being a Queen).

29 Days of Kate Middlton Day 11

Day 11

Another great look from Kate. She looks fabulous here. A printed knee-length flowy dress with a 3/4 quarter sleeve length blazer and black clutch with black heels. This look is one of my favorites from her, it's simple, but classy. And the hat! I LOVE her hats, she wears these cute little danity hats that are so beautiful and so beautifully made. There is so much artwork that goes into her beautiful hats. And of course there are the wide rim hats she also wears from time to time. Kate never fails at being so classy.

*Day 11 Royal Wedding-Queen Rania of Jordan June 10, 1993

Queen Rania of Jordan, is one of the most stylish women of royalty. Her wedding dress was beautiful! This beautiful gown was designed by the wonderful Lebanase designer, Elie Saab. If you haven't looked up on her you should because, oh my gosh she's a fashionista! She has such style and beauty. She could've been a model if she wanted to, Lord knows she has a the looks and the style to be one. Her and Kate Middleton are my absolute favorite royal fashion icons of today.

29 Days of Kate Middleton Day 10

Day 10

The lovely Kate shows off her sexy-classy side. She went to a boxing match of a friend's with her lovely Prince in tow, and wore this BEAUTIFUL plunging v-neckline pin gown. This is my FAVORITE dress from her. The color works well against her skin, the black clutch, black shoes and hair are so on point and the light colored earrings work well. Of course it's an Issa design, an A+ yet again.

*Day 10 Royal Wedding-Princess Josephine-Charlotte of Belgium April 9, 1953

So the Princess of Belgium has done something not common, wore two tiaras on her wedding day. Talk about being a Princess! All the perks! The dress was made of beautiful silk and lace, with the neckline ruffled and several buttons at the end of the sleeves. Typical of the 50s look, it had a tight waist with a full skirt. It's a bit stuffy for my taste, but every girl wants to be a princess on their wedding day.
